Gaudi

We started our first full day in Barcelona with a walk to the old cathedral. Having seen so many by it seemed a bit humdrum. Also being Sunday, much of it was off limits. So, we left and headed to the large park. They had some kind of fair on and we picked up a sample bag. It was full of shampoo and condition and other assorted products. Lucky, because we were running low.

Everything in Barcelona worth seeing is close to a metro station, so we hearse off once more, this time to the Sagrada Familia or Gaudi's Temple (now a basilica). If you ever visit Barcelona come here first and foremost. Burger King for lunch today, pretty much the same everywhere and our first junk food for the trip.

We then headed to Montjuic, the local peak by the sea at a height of 70 meters and the local of a medieval fort also used during the Spanish Civil War.

Thought for the day. When walking through back streets in Barcelona, never look up. Their aim is not perfect but they do spit, and there can be splash back.

Oh, almost forgot. On our way to the Chocolate Museum, which was closed by the way, we walk into the welcome home parade for Barcelona FC. People everywhere.

Thought for the day. Crowds are the same all over the world.
