Washing Day

Well, the Valencia hotel is excellent as is the location and the beach, breakfast etc. What we didn't cater for was that being a bit of a party area, there are cars coming and going all night. The favorite car accessory of the Spanish also happens to be the horn. It gets used all times of day or night for all manner of purposes. Nice one.

Anyway, back to the trip.

We set off early to get some washing done as we had just about run out of clean clothes. We had found a laundry in Valencia using the iPad. It seemed to be the only one between Porto and Valencia. The lady was helpful, but the machine nowhere near as good as Porto. We didn't leave until after 2pm. By the time we finished, dropped our clothes back at the hotel and started sightseeing, it was 4pm.

Valencia is pretty but the sights are not as grand, so we concentrated on the old city and the cathedral.

There is an area nearby with many shiny new, architecturally interesting buildings near the Americas Cup Port. We might get there tomorrow.

Thought for the day. If you both get a head cold one day after swimming in Arabic Baths with total strangers, don't be too surprised.
