Hola

So, we woke early today, and had breakfast overlooking the bay at the Hotel Le Mouton Blanc, then headed up to the abbey.

There are no words to describe the abbey. But here are our favorite pictures.

After we left the abbey, we had a bit of a drive to Beauvais Airport. More on that later. We had plenty of time to spare though, so we headed to the D-Day beaches at Normandy. These bunkers housed the guns that shelled the allies as they landed. You can see the impressions made by the British Navy as they fired on the guns from just out of their reach.

We had not a lot of time to spare when we left. Enter, the GPS!! Fantastic at directing while on well signed motorways, but let's say that the avoid traffic setting works a little too well.... Although, we did see the back of one guy for about 30 minutes. He clearly had no plane to catch.

Beauvais Airport is a challenge. First you need to guess which terminal you need, then since we flew Ryanair, there is no allocated seating, so it is a free for all, mad rush to the gate as soon as it is announced.

We landed safely, the flight was actually very good. For a budget airline, Ryanair does a great job.

Arrival in Madrid was late but easy and safe.
