We're Back

OK. We had our break from our break and now back to Spain and off to Seville. First up a relatively quick and painless bus from Faro to Seville and an equal quick and painless check-in to another excellent hotel.

After check-in, down to the cathedral. Our visit coincided with a huge wedding on one side of the cathedral and on the other side, we were lucky enough to see the San Isidro parade which has been happening for 600 years. The patron saints of each city are portrayed on floats throughout the city. It started with the ringing of the bells. Excellent!

We headed back to the hotel via the local shopping area. Sadly, Jo can't buy anything more. Something to do with baggage allowances, I'm not quite sure.

We also found the local Irish pub. We had traditional Irish fare like nachos and a couple of Spanish beers.

Thought for the day. When you get your bearings in a strange city, don't go looking for the shortcut. It may not be so short after all.
