Lake Garda

We took the train from Milan to Verona first thing in the morning. The guy hotel had a bit of a faff when we checked out, so we thought, here we go again. Fortunately however, this time we made the train with plenty of time to spare. We had no real idea on how to get to Sirmione, so we winged it and found a local bus. Of course, we had no idea where to get off the bus, luckily we were only one stop short and close to the information centre. Our stop was too far to walk, so we caught the next bus.

We must say Sirmione is awesome. The location of our room was the best so far as the view from our room will attest. This is the view from our room.

The only issue with Sirmione was, being on a lake, it was full of tourists. It is also a little expensive, but probably ok compared to some places. We had a pretty relaxing day and just walked around the town.

Thought for the day. Tipping conventions in Italy are baffling.
